A couple of months ago, thousands of supporters like you answered our call and generously donated to help provide people like Asia and Suat with the clean water, hygiene kits, essential supplies and cash assistance they need to survive. We can’t thank you enough.

These donations re already on their way to support people in Renk, South Sudan and those facing poverty and inequality all over the world.

While the humanitarian crisis in South Sudan is still ongoing, Oxfam supporters have helped us reach over 25,000 people with life-saving aid in June alone. These donations helped provide:

    • The installation and maintenance of water, sanitation and hygiene facilities in the transit centre in Renk
    • Door to door education to almost 10,000 people offering practical guidance on safe water consumption, handwashing techniques and the proper disposal of human waste
    • 2500 bars of soap to help prevent disease
    • 40,000 litres of clean water daily
    • 231 households with kitchen utensils
    • 70 individuals with cash for protection

These donations also help fund Oxfam’s crucial work advocating to governments for more humanitarian aid to help address this crisis and others like it.

Whether it’s Asia and Suat in South Sudan, Shamsun in Cox’s Bazar, Indrawati in Indonesia or beyond, your support is transforming lives. Thank you for helping to tackle the inequalities that fuel poverty so we can build a more equal future.
